Assignments just kick in & it's only the first day of the 2nd sem. Oh brother!!!
2 assignments for the IS module. Will be focusing on contemporary issues. Basically, current issues happening in the society right now. Kinda interesting I would say. 'Cause all students are urged to keep abreast of what's happening around us, as well as, researching for relevant sources to understand beyond the current news. Also, these useful & valuable researches can equip students with knowledge. Cool, huh?
Well, you hardly believe that I turned out to be this kind of person. But yeah, true. I'm starting to develop these skills along the way, thanks to learning New Product Development (NPD), during the Bangkok Immersion Programme. That module challenges each of us to think out of the box & the importance of self - learning. Oh wells, as the saying goes, or it's Singapore's education policy, TEACH LESS LEARN MORE.
Anyway, I have to find relevant books pertaining to these two issues : Human Trafficking & Women's Worth (a.k.a gender discrimination / equality).
Interesting topics. Not only that, I'm keen on researching for online articles too. From local & international contexts.
The 1st part of the assignment is based on the discussion board posted in the NP Portal. Have to do 2 posts : Personal & Comment on one of the module's mate. & have to print these out too. Both soft & hardcopy. Before the 5th week & submission of the hardcopy on the same week. Oh mannnnnn. On top of that, the 2nd part would be in - class essay writing. On week 6. Rough draft to be done by 5th week. & notes can be brought to class :) . Weightage for these assignments : 45%!!!!!!!!!! [ 15% for both posts & 30% for essay ] : (
Okayyyyy. Definitely need to start researching now. Probably will do it during the weekends this week. All of the research to be done before week 3. & with the help of Writ Comm (format & MLA Citation notes), this module will greatly assist me with the IS module. Thought that I could forgo Writ Comm. But nooooooooo. Luckily, I did not throw away my notes. Heh.
On a lighter note, for the IS module, for week 2 (which is next week) till week 4, class will start at 1pm, at LT 45. Meaning, DO NOT HAVE TO WAKE UP EARLY!!!! Woohoo!!!!!!!! But will end at 5pm, though. But, it does not matter. Will be having conferences based on the two topics. Cooooooool. On the contrary, from week 5 onwards, class will begin at 9am - 12pm {no more 8am class :) }. @ blk 72.
AND AND AND, Wednesday's classes begin at 2pm instead of 1pm!!!!! Wow!!!!! All my classes begin in the afternoon. Well, for Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays. & Thursdays are the longest, 'cause of CCA day. Oh mannnnnnnnn.
Okayyyyyy. Cheerios!!!!!! Wanna chill. Hehe. Tomorrow class begins from 2pm - 6pm. Woohoo!!!!!!! :)
